Changelog

Everything added and improved in Bonyan ERP — newest first.

2026.9.13

Item notes from inside the ‘edit values’ drawer, and your company logo in the sidebar

You can leave a note on an item while editing its values without closing the drawer, sub-items in the drawer are now clear to arrange and move, and your company logo is the first thing in the sidebar.

New

  • A notes button on every item in the ‘edit values’ drawerIt sits next to the item’s name with its note count, and opens the notes in a side drawer on top: read, reply and write a new note, with the writing box pinned at the bottom however long the thread gets.
  • Your company logo at the top of the sidebarIt replaces the home icon and adapts automatically to the dark sidebar, even if your logo is drawn on a light background. And without an uploaded logo, reports and the sign-in screen no longer put the Bonyan logo in its place.

Improvements

  • Sub-items with their own items are now a frame you can fold and moveIn the ‘edit values’ drawer a sub-item now wraps its items in a frame: fold it by clicking its header, and drag it up or down with all its items at once. While you drag an item, the places it can’t go fade so you can see its limits.
  • A calmer, clearer settings pageOne fixed preview on the side shows your identity on documents, the system and the sign-in screen, and each logo action — upload, extract its colours, open the identity studio — is a card that says what it does.
2026.9.12

‘What’s new’ inside the system, and a clear table in the executors drawer

You now hear about every update the moment it lands, and the executors drawer is a single table telling you, for each contractor and supplier, what you agreed, what’s been spent and what’s left — comfortably on a phone.

New

  • A ‘What’s new’ button in the top barIt lists the latest three updates with a ‘New’ badge on the ones you haven’t seen, and a small strip on the home page tells you when one lands. Each update opens its details on this page.

Improvements

  • One table for all executors in the executors drawerOn the project details page, every contractor and supplier is a row with the contract, spend, remaining and progress; click the row to open their items beneath it. The total sits at the bottom, and on a phone each row becomes a card.
  • The calculation shows when you hover a numberHover any amount in the table to see where it comes from: quantity times unit price, contract minus spend, and by how much the contract was exceeded if it was. The currency is written next to every amount.
2026.9.11Major update
The ‘item photos’ drawer open over the project details page: eight site photos for the wall-plastering item, with who uploaded each and when

Item photos: a drawer of their own, and photo evidence for your client

Each item’s photos now have a wide drawer where you upload by drag and drop with no limit on how many — and you can let your client see the work photos in their report, with your permission, switched off whenever you like.

New

  • HighlightYour client sees the work photos in their report

From the report’s share panel you switch photos on yourself, seeing how many your client will get before you agree. It’s off until you turn it on, and switching it off hides them from a link you already sent, instantly. Your client flips through with arrows and opens them full screen, even on a phone.

  • A photo drawer for every itemAn ‘item photos’ button showing the count sits beside ‘another executor’ in the edit-values drawer, opening a wide drawer with all the item’s photos, who uploaded each and when.
  • Upload many photos at onceDrag photos into the drawer or pick several together — with no limit on how many — and each one gets a card showing its upload progress.
  • Hide a photo from your client without deleting itA photo you don’t want your client to see is excluded with one click, and stays saved on your side.
2026.9.10

Your company data, kept safe

We now regularly test that your backups actually restore, and the files you upload live in a space of your company’s own.

Improvements

  • A nightly backup — and a tested oneYour company data is copied every night to a separate server and kept for 14 days, and every month we actually restore a copy and check its data and files are complete — not just that it was made.
  • Your files in a space of your company’s ownThe files and photos you upload are stored in a place of your company’s own, under names that can’t be guessed.
2026.9.9

A shorter, faster ‘edit values’ drawer

Items in the drawer now collapse and expand, so the one you’re working on stays open and the rest fold away — instead of a long list you scroll through.

New

  • Collapse items and keep the one you need openOn the project details page, the ‘edit values’ drawer now folds item blocks away and opens only the one you went to — so a long bill of quantities shrinks to the size of your task.
  • Reorder items by dragging inside the drawerEach item block has a handle you drag while still in the drawer. The new order saves right away and shows the same in the table, the client portal and reports.

Improvements

  • Printed reports match the system’s lookEvery report and spreadsheet now uses the same typeface and sizes you see on screen, so a report you send a client reads neatly on paper.
  • Treasury balances export ready to printIt downloads a formatted, colour-coded file that follows the date range you actually applied on screen — not values you typed but never applied.
2026.9.8Major update
The company logo section in Settings: print proof, logo upload, and extracting colours from it

Your company’s logo and colours in the system

Your company logo now has one place in Settings: upload it, or generate one from your company name if you don’t have one — then take the system colours from it in one click, with your colour showing in printed reports too.

New

  • HighlightGenerate a logo from your company name

If you don’t have a logo yet, type your company name and the system suggests twelve designs to pick from and recolour. The result is saved just like a logo you upload yourself.

  • System colours from your logo, in one clickOne click takes the colours from your logo and applies them to the interface, putting the whole system in your brand.

Improvements

  • See the logo at its real size before savingBefore saving you see your logo at the size it will actually appear — in the sidebar and at the top of a printed report — with a print proof.
  • Settings split into three tabsSettings were regrouped by where each setting actually shows up, so it takes fewer steps to find what you came for.
